IMHO, if you are removing the coat, you'll need to add some nifty bit that gets us feeling DA OLD COP MOVIE VIBE oozing off the screen with just a glance. The glasses are good as they are - I don't think anyone could outdo Gainax in that department; maybe you could try spicing the rifle up a bit? I'm not urging you to dangle a couple of neon pink plushy dice off the muzzle, mind you (that'd be awesome, though!), but DA GUN could use some customization to bring it to the level of crack you've got going in DOUBLE K.
