Love your comic. Wayyyy better than the actual anime (Kamina aside, it didn't hold my interest).

...you're sure you were actually watching it, right? Might wanna get those eyes checked. For one, all the characters are amazing (Yoko and Kamina are the best), two...it's.Amazing

My eyesight is good, thank you very much. I just enjoyed Kamina (and him being bro with Simon maybe). The animation was kinda nice at times too. But the fanservice (female or male), the giant robot fanservice without much plot... I don't know, I felt like I was wasting my time and once Kamina "left", I just stopped watching. Maybe I stopped before it gets better but I don't really care.

I'm sorry, you were watching TTGL, which doesn't take itself seriously, for a plot? Well, all joking aside, it IS one of those series that's hit-or-miss.

I dunno. I guess I expect more from a show "this long" (26 episodes or something). I CAN enjoy anime with no serious plots. I enjoyed Fuli Culi. And Panty&Stocking is all kind of silly/cool. It's all by Gainax too. The difference between those and TTGL ? They're shorter or very cartoony (P&S is like an american cartoon) so crazy parodic nonsense works better for me in those shows.

But then, I enjoyed Azumanga/Lucky Star and they're slice of life (meaning no real plot) type of shows as long as TTGL. Though, I think the reason I enjoyed those animes was because of ALL the pop/anime/gaming culture references/easter eggs... and the familiar feeling of hanging out with friends from school.

Maybe TTGL has references... but I'm not likely to be responsive to them. I'm not a huge mecha anime lover (I love/d a few mecha anime/games but it was never the mechs that made me love them). Not enough to get amused by specific references at least.

I don't exactly remember what I was expecting from TTGL... but since it was/is hyped like crazy, I expected more than the ridiculous and pointless borefest it was. People say the second half is better... but I'm not in the mood to give it a second try (maybe one day, I dunno). Plus, someone spoiled the ending for me... and I think it's a pretty crappy one. Sigh... I just wasn't amused or interested by this show. People need to accept that not everyone is in love with it.

Are you implying Yoko isn't awesome? Yeah, I know they overdid the fanservice abit, but she at least had a great personality and was a fun character that had a lot to offer.

She was a bit of a tsundere and I honestly grew tired of those female characters in anime. She's not as bad as other more annoying tsundere characters though (and I heard the tsundere thing dies off a bit after Kamina leaves) so I don't have strong feelings against her, only a slight annoyance at the tsundere cliché. I may even like her a little bit with Kamina despite the annoying tsundere thing. And despite the ridiculous fanservice, her chara-design is appealing (all of the characters have appealing designs anyway).
